The Taste Of India

Every Indian state has its own culture, its own festivals and its own unique quisine. What's more, every community has a variety of culinary techniques which vary according to the sub-castes and locations. Caste influences the way the food is prepared because spices and methods of cooking are handed down from one generation to the next. Location plays a vital role because ingredients which are available locally tend to be used more in the cooking.

It is not possible to include all the different quisines of every state. I will, however, try to document a few recipes that might not be given anywhere on the Internet but which represent each state in their own special way.

I plan thus to give you a little Taste Of India!!

(New indicates a new section or addition of new recipes to an existing section)

Note: Please write to me if you want to help me document quisines from different states of India.
